Domestic Robot

New research project has revealed that it would be soon possible to have your own robot to do your daily tasks. What is more interesting is that you will be able to teach it basic skills without possessing prior knowledge of robotics. Maya Cakmak from Georgia Tech has made a demonstration showing the modality on how to manipulate the robot. Using a spoken interface, it can be easily instructed on how to move, store different things in memory and learn certain facts. Man has always dreamed of having a domestic robot to wash his dishes or fold his laundry. Best part of the above project is that more than 50% has already been designed and it is functional. Basically, we are already living an amazing futuristic age where sophisticated technology is no longer a wonder for us.
